Magic Justification Numbers

Here is a little trick you can do in InDesign to keep a full justified text column to minimal hyphens and no rivers!
- With your text selected, go to your Paragraph window and click the menu dropdown icon on the top right (this little guy below).
- Hit Justification and plug these numbers into the boxes
- After you hit ok, go back to the menu icon in the Paragraph window and hit Hyphenation. Then plug these numbers in.
And that’s it! If this is a large amount of content, it’s best if you set these in right away in the first text box you create so it applies to everything after.
