Crafting a bold identity and website for a new business line.
When Assured Guaranty, the leading provider of municipal bond insurance, acquired alternative asset manager, BlueMountain Capital, the firm engaged North Street to help fold the business into the Assured portfolio.
North Street devised a striking and contemporary aesthetic for the new unit—one that is both uniquely modern and also pays homage to the BlueMountain legacy. The identity was then brought to life through a dynamic website design and striking print collateral.

Communicating innovation and experience
The distinct visual aesthetic for the new company North Street was synthesized by the fusing together of colors borrowed from the Assured Guaranty and BlueMountain Capital palettes while combining sophisticated typesetting with vivid imagery. The resulting brand successfully positions the firm as both “the kid on the block” and a seasoned team of investment professionals.
Building a universe
With the firm’s new visual identity established, North Street designed and built a custom WordPress site, brought to life with subtle but effective animations. The site has gone on to win a number of design awards, including recognition by the 2020 Graphic Design USA Awards for outstanding web design.
This was followed by the design and execution of all of the requisite collateral items: business cards, letterhead, diaries, report templates, and presentation templates.
