For more than 50 years the Environmental Defense Fund has been a pioneer in the fight to make the environment safer and healthier for us all.
For its 2020 annual report, the Environmental Defense Fund committed to a digital-first approach for the first time in the report’s history. It would inspire a limited-run print edition rather than vice versa. The leading environmental advocacy group engaged North Street to conceptualize and launch both.

A world tour
The resulting online experience weaves together stories, interviews, photography, video, and data visualizations into a beautiful and engaging narrative that guides the user through EDF’s amazing accomplishments and wins for the betterment of the planet.

The visual system devised by North Street was then translated into an attractive and engaging magazine with a smaller print run than in years previous.
