Crafting an identity and labeling system for a micro brew and cider brand.
Lookout Farm is one of America’s oldest continuously operating farms, dating back to 1651.
The “pick your own” fruit farm is located just outside of Boston in Natick, MA. In addition to a market, dining venues, and children’s amusements, the farm brews, cans, and sells its own brand of beer and cider. The brewers engaged North Street to redesign the brand into something with “fridge appeal.”

We developed a visual identity anchored by agrarian imagery, such as rolling pastures and farm equipment. The flexible design system, which can be used for both beers and ciders, employs color and pattern to differentiate the various styles and flavors — 18 and counting.
At the heart of the identity system is the tractor illustration, which is inspired by an antique model on prominent display at the farm. The style of the image was influenced by vintage manuals for farm equipment.
