Cole Schotz is an Am Law 200 firm with a roster of top legal artists working across various industries.
Cole Schotz engaged North Street to create a modern, uniquely unconventional visual identity that underscores their passionate and creative approach to lawyering. Working from the firm’s “Lawyering is Our Art” tagline, we drew inspiration from two New York institutions — the art gallery experience and the fabled shops that dot Fifth Avenue. An air of urban grit and sophistication comes through in expressive brushstrokes, bold typography, compelling black-and-white photography, and a restrained color palette. The resulting visual experience helps to position the firm as more collegial and client-centric, distinguishing them in a crowded field.

As part of the brand overhaul, we developed a new website that clearly communicates the firm’s practice areas, industry experience, and legal talent with an artistic bent. Blogs that previously lived on separate domains were consolidated into a single, easy-to-navigate repository. We also produced an artful video that prominently features on the home page and ties together the tagline, logo, and new visual identity.
