Deriving its name from a nautical term for seasoned sailors guiding ships to port, Old Salt is a newly-launched research consultancy founded by a pair of industry veterans.
The firm engaged North Street to develop a unique and impactful visual identity that would stand out from the competition. The resulting logomark was inspired by a compass to symbolize guidance and direction, while wave currents and ship-building schematics are expressions of quantitative data. The new brand was brought to life through business cards, stationary, a folder design, and wearable swag.
