WineShop at Home produces award-winning, exclusive, artisan wines across its 50 labels.

From the vineyards, to the wine production, to the distribution—their operation is modern and state of the art. Unfortunately, their legacy website was anything but. North Street was engaged to revamp the site both visually and functionally to improve the UX and sell more juice.

It’s wine o’clock somewhere.

Functionally, the new website guides users on a journey of wine education that includes immersive virtual wine tastings and, of course, the ability to make purchases. Visually, the redesigned site makes emphatic use of white space, lifestyle photography, and video loops. Animation and curvature provide a sense of fluidity to the layouts.

On the technical end, the e-commerce functionality is powered by WooCommerce connected to a proprietary CRM and fulfillment platform. There’s also an interactive quiz to help users discover their “Vinotype,” or taste preferences.

I cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Analysis of the site’s analytics showed more users than average accessing the site on phones, and so we took a mobile-first approach to designing the user experience.
